Praia da Luz in Portugal's Algarve is
almost at the extreme end of the Western Algarve not far from Lagos
and Cap Vincent. Praia da Luz was originally a small village beach
community but has over the years grown somewhat, but around the
square and the beach it still retains that ‘beach community’
atmosphere.
There are many other small-unspoilt beaches and coves along the
coastline close to Praia de Luz, the beach at Burgau, an unspoilt
beach is only 5km away.
There are coffee shops and restaurants that front directly on to
the beach and in the village itself there are many small bars and
artisan shops for you to browse through. In the square itself is
St Vincent’s Anglican church and right next to it, what else
but an English Style Pub that serves breakfasts, lunch and light
snacks all day long.
Although Praia da Luz is approximately 90 kilometres from the
airport it is literally motorway door to door making the journey
time fast and convenient. |
